Fresenius offers with the AS.TEC 204 Blood Cell Separator system the complete program for blood component collection and therapeutic apheresis. The innovative separation technology has proven successful in routine donation as well as a variety of therapeutic applications that involve very different blood parameters and conditions.
The AS.TEC 204 Blood Cell Separator is a blood component separator which utilizes centrifugal force as the basis of operation. The fields of application are as follows:
1.
Collection of blood components from donors. This procedure includes the donation of blood cells platelets, lymphocytes, granulocytes, mononuclear cells, stem cells or white blood cells in general. The fractions with drawn and collected are transfused to a recipient for therapeutic purposes.
2.
Therapeutic apheresis removal of blood cells from the blood for therapeutic purposes.
