The Moisture Systems Quadra Beam II moisture analyzer is a near infrared photometric analyzer which performs analyses with fixed waveengths of near infrared (NIR) energy. Although commonly called a moisture analyzer, the QB-II is not limited to the analysis of water only. There are literally hundreds of applications where moisture is the constituent of interest. Additionally, with a change of wavelengths, the QB-II can measure the concentration or thickness of many different substances. Measurements may be made using either NIR reflectance or transmission, depending on the application. The principles involved in all analyses of NIR reflectance or transmission are similar to those involved in the analysis for moisture.
